This is a blog exploring the writing of poetry.

Poetry took up the majority of my 20s, as I studied it for BA, MA and PhD. I made some tentative attempts at writing, and accidentally went to a poetry summer school one year, as well as doing a bit for my MA. There were a couple of readings given in Durham, to an audience who were almost entirely enticed by the offer of free wine. But largely, the idea of writing poetry has remained a potentiality.

Recently, three years into motherhood with two pre-schoolers as my constant companions, I have discovered that the act of making poems might be a sanity-saver. Also, I now have more stuff to write about.

This is an attempt to make the potential of writing poems into a reality.
